Small thoughts

Where I’ve been

I know.  Long time, no see.  Sorry about that.  I have two broken laptops, one with a busted screen and another that actually crackles and makes a sizzling sound when switched on.  Makes me very nervous, like it’s going to explode.

My third computer option is, well, let’s just say that my third option is also less than ideal ever since that night in 2008 when pumped full of steroids prior to my first chemo treatment, I beat the little bugger to death. (Stop snickering, You can’t tell me you never felt the uge to beat on an uncooperative machine.) It took months to return it to working order.  And even now as it limps along on its tiny electronic legs it refuses to play DVDs or download photos from outside sources or bring up any website in a timely manner.  I don’t blame it.  I just wish it would forgive me and move on.

The computer hubbub has been a strain, but the real cause of my blogging dry spell has been much happier.  I’ve been in pursuit of fun in all its glorious forms.  I’m telling you this because I would like to encourage you to be intentional in  pursuit of fun this year.  And I do mean this year…this summer…this week.  Figure out one thing that you think is fun and then DO IT.  If you feel like it, let me know how that works out for you.

Oh, and I’d also be interested in what you consider to be fun.  Nothing sordid though. I don’t think my heart could handle it

On another note: How’s the summer reading going?  I’ve read some interesting books and a few duds.  I’ll report on them soon.
